Sandbar Solar & Electric partnered with MBL Energy to install 1,607-Kilowatts of solar and a 400 kWh of Energy Storage at a major food services distributor just outside of San Francisco, California.

The solar PV system supplies a large percentage of the host customer’s annual energy needs resulting in huge electric bill savings.  The energy storage system delivers power as needed throughout the evening and nighttime hours to shave down the peak electricity demand, thereby saving the customer thousands of additional dollars per year.   Additionally, the energy storage system allows the customer to adjust the timing of its energy delivery to the grid to counteract future changes to the time-of-use billing hours made by the utility provider.

The system supplies enough power to supply 100% of the energy needs of more than 200 single family homes in California.
