Residential energy consultant
Job Summary
We are a local Santa Cruz solar and electrical contractor who has been in business for more than 20 years with a variety of projects including solar design/build, commercial electrical, commercial solar installations, residential electrical, residential solar installations, battery storage, electrical vehicle charging stations, and unique off grid solar applications.

Eligible candidates must have a minimum of 2 years successfully selling solar and/or home battery systems
(in-home) and bring solar & sales knowledge beyond simply selling. Must be punctual, organized, hardworking,
focused and charismatic. Understanding how solar works, how to evaluate existing electric panels, and how to
properly size solar with batteries is critical to the candidate’s success in this role – Sandbar will provide training, but
candidate must bring some experience with these topics.
Responsibilities: Work with a mix of company-provided and self-generated leads to consult on and sell in-home
residential solar and battery backup systems to homeowners in the Central CA Coast and outlying areas. Manage
your sales pipeline effectively. Keep your accounts up to date. Qualify new leads and schedule appointments.
Maintain your calendar and show up to meetings on time and prepared. Follow-up. Close deals. Build your referral
pipeline.
Qualifications:
· Professional appearance, attitude, and character
· Understanding of solar industry and marketplace, including in-home solar & battery site evaluations
· Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations
· Excellent communication skills
· Highly organized
· Office computer skills, including use of CRM tools
· High energy level and work well in a team environment, but able to take initiative and follow through
· PV, Battery Backup, Electrical Construction/Contracting experience, or knowledge a plus
· Position requires a clean DMV report, maintenance of valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
Requirements: Energy Consultant must have a minimum of 2 years selling solar and/or battery storage systems (in home)
and pass a background check. Additionally, Energy Consultant must attend regular team meetings at Sandbar
HQ, be able to travel to customers’ homes for consultations, produce accurate proposals using Sandbar’s computer based
design tools, maintain customer account data in our CRM, have “closing” skills, follow Sandbar’s Code of
Conduct and be able obtain (or possess already) a CSLB Home Improvement Salesperson license.
Job Type: Full-time. Candidate must reside in the CA Central Coast area. This is not a remote position, although
some work-from-home hours are allowable after training is complete. Sandbar is an equal opportunity employer.

Job Summary:
Sandbar Solar & Electric has a long reputation as a high performing team of electrical design and construction professionals on the Central Coast of California. We perform all aspects of commercial electrical, commercial solar, residential solar, energy storage, and EV charging design-build projects. We have a full-time position available for an Electrician.

Qualifications:
5+ years of electrical experience preferred
CA Certified General Electrician preferred
Strong technical knowledge of Solar PV systems is preferred, but not required

Be able to clearly communicate with supervisors, customers, and Co-workers
Responsibilities:
Strong electrical and NEC knowledge
Installing Panelboards, Transformers, Solar PV Inverters, Power Monitoring equipment, etc.
Installing Conduit and pulling wire
Terminating conductors
Job is physically demanding, so full mobility and lifting ability required
Work with electrical apprentices and trainees
Must have a valid CA driver’s license and reliable transportation

Electrical Estimator
Job Summary:
We are a local Santa Cruz solar and electrical contractor who has been in business for 20 years with a variety of projects including solar design/build, commercial electrical, commercial solar installations, residential electrical, residential solar installations, electrical vehicle charging stations, and unique off grid solar applications.
We have an open position for a full-time Electrical Estimator professional. This individual must be very comfortable working in a dynamic and demanding environment with deadlines and commitments. They must be very professional, organized, calm, and work well with others to achieve success. Candidate must have 5 years minimum experience in estimating or electrical project management. The Estimator will be working closely with the Senior Management, Project Management, and Business Development teams and directly with clients and other contractors to achieve success in being awarded well-scoped and budgeted projects.
The candidate will be required to pass a background check and have a clean DMV record.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Intake bid packages, organize project opportunities, and evaluate scope documents
Interface with GCs, Clients, and internal project teams to formulate an accurate response to requests.
Draft scope and RFP responses
Develop estimates
Perform job walks and develop RFI’s as necessary to estimate projects
Review past project budgets to continually develop accurate estimates and tools
Additional Responsibilities and Duties:
Work with management to develop more robust estimating tools
Solicit RFPs for both public and private work
Qualifications and Skills:
Electrical construction and contracting project experience
5+ years’ experience managing projects or developing estimates for electrical projects
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MSOffice products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project
Accubid experience preferred
Detail-oriented, resourceful in completing tasks, and able to prioritize tasks effectively while remaining organized

Job Description:
The C&I Business Development professional will be deeply engaged with the planning and execution of Sandbar’s business development activities, objectives, and initiatives. The qualified individual will identify appropriate prospects, contact prospects, and ultimately retain them as clients or partners. This position is responsible for company revenue targets and generation, including marketing programs and alliances that will create lead generation, and multiple revenue streams. Reporting to the Vice-President of Business Development, the successful candidate must be confident, resourceful, and enjoy working in a highly entrepreneurial environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Actively prospects to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities.
Provides strategic insight and leadership in business development activities and developing revenue channels.
Responsible for developing market initiatives, assessing new markets, and analyzing business opportunities.
Conducts financial feasibility studies and develops proposals for new business opportunities.
Works closely with Estimating and Project Execution Team Leaders to develop project opportunities.
Leads the structuring, negotiation, and development of partnerships and plays an active role in project development and relationship management.
Identify emerging industry trends and key areas for growth; evaluate and execute key partnership opportunities to enable growth.
Grows business relationships with existing clients.

Job Qualifications:
